Cyril Lett Boucher (c1887-1968)
1968 Died. 'Mr. Cyril Lett Boucher, a past president of the Society of Engineers, and a former consultant civil engineer in Birmingham, has died at a Droitwich nursing home, aged 81. Born at Lowethorpe, Wolverley, Worcestershire, and educated at Sebright School, Wolverley, and Wrekin College, Mr. Boucher was originally apprenticed as a mining engineer. He later qualified as a civil and constructional engineer and spent many years abroad on the construction of roads, bridges and railways. After the First World War, in which he served with the Royal Engineers he set up practice a private consultant in London. During the Second World War he was attached to the Ministry of Aircraft Production. He died on Sunday at the Raven Court Nursing Home Droitwich. where he lived. He leaves a widow.'[1]
