The business of Douglas Collins, and his family

'Mr D. R. Collins founded the "Goya" business in 1936 and has expanded it substantially since 1945'[1]

1952 Acquired by J. C. and J. Field.[2]

1965 D. R. Collins Ltd., the Goya factory in Church - street, Old Amersham.[3]

1975 'ICI have bought the entire capital of D. R. Collins, who manufacture Goya perfumes and toiletries. The sum paid has not been disclosed, but the total assets of Collins amount to less than 1 per cent of ICl's assets. After the acquisition, Avlex, a subsidiary of ICI, will merge with Collins, so that a more vigorous effort can be made in UK and export markets. Mr R. Booth, a divisional director of ICI, will become chairman of Collins.'[4]
