DAIMLER 2.5-LITRE SPECIAL SPORTS
The Daimler Special Sports coupe is based on the 2.5-litre chassis and is in the best style of English coach building. The model illustrated above is by the famous firm of Barker and is fitted with a spring-assisted hood which folds in one movement into a recess at the rear.
The bench-type seat is adjustable and a divided back folds down to give access to the single bucket-type seat at the rear. The latter is removable, if desired, to give additional luggage space.
On this Special Sports model, incidentally, the new slightly curved and sloping fluted radiator was introduced, making a break from the style of Daimler radiator which has become so well known all over the world. The new form is no less distinctive and will become equally ubiquitous in the course of time.
