Damart

Damart is a French company which specialises in clothing.

1953 Established by brothers Joseph, Paul and Jules Despature and the brand became a household name in France and the UK. Although the brand specialises in a material called Thermolactyl, known for its insulation qualities.

1967 Opened in UK at Bingley as Damart Thermawear (Bradford) Ltd.[1]

The company has two bases in the UK, one in Bingley (HQ), and one in Steeton (warehouse). There was formerly at in Earby (mailings distribution centre), but this was closed in 2009.
