Early 1920s Redpath, Brown and Co acquired the company
1923 Bolckow, Vaughan and Co acquired am "important interest" in Redpath, Brown and so came to own Darlington Rolling Mills.
1928 A General Meeting of the Members of the Darlington Rolling Mills Co. Ltd. was to be held at the offices of Messrs. Bolckow, Vaughan and Company Limited, King's Buildings, Dean Stanley-street, Westminster, S.W. 1, on Wednesday, the 13th day of June, 1928, for the purpose of having laid before them an account, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the Company disposed of, and of hearing any explanations that may be given by the Liquidator[1]
1929 Dorman, Long and Co acquired Bolckow, Vaughan and so became owners of a substantial interest in this company[2]
1937 Steel rollers and rivet manufacturers.[3]
1951 Darlington Rolling Mills Co. (1946) Ltd was taken into public ownership
1954 the Iron and Steel Holding and Realisation Agency sold their holding in the capital of Darlington & Simpson Rolling Mills Limited, that Company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Darlington Rolling Mills Co. (1946) Limited, and F. R. Simpson & Co. (1946) Limited[4]
