1902 Mr H. C. Babb took up the appointment of chief assistant in the Dartmouth Electricity Works, South Devon.[2]

1902 Started operation.

1903 first extension involved taking cables across the river Dart to Kingswear

It was expected that the new naval college, then in course of construction at Dartmouth, would be ready for a supply before the winter of 1904.
