1944 David Cameron, who had succeeded his father in the local brewery business, which traded under his own name, died.[1]

1945 The business was taken over by McLennan and Urquhart. A new company, David Cameron Limited, was registered, with capital of £4,000, to acquire and carry on the business as a going concern.[2]
