Born in Cranbrook the son of George Oyler, a Farmer, and his first wife Mary Barrett; one of his brothers was Henry Oyler.

1882 Married at Clonmel to Edith Annie Boyd

1891 David Jonathan Oyler 48, corn merchant, forage contractor, lived in Highgate with Edith Annie Oyler 30, Ellen Mary Oyler 8, Alexander Wilfred Oyler 6, Edith Marjorie Oyler 5[1]

1899 of 35 New Cavendish St, London, was appointed a Land Tax Commissioner for the district[2]

1911 Residing at The Laurels, Highgate, London: David Jonathan Oyler (age 68 born Cranbrook), forage merchant, automobile engineer.
