Rear-Admiral David Watson Taylor (c1864-1940)
Chief Constructor of the United States Navy. Educated at the Royal Navy College, Greenwich, completed in 1888 with the highest marks ever received by any student.[1]

THE LATE REAR-ADMIRAL D. W. TAYLOR. - The death was recent1y announced at New York of Rear-Admiral David Watson Taylor, of the United States Navy, at the age of seventy-six.
Admiral Taylor was a well-known naval architect and was appointed Chief Constructor at the Bureau of Construction and Repair at Washington in 1914. Ho was in charge of the Naval Experimental Model Basin at the Washington Naval Yard and will be particularly remembered for his experiments with ship propeller models.
In 1895 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Institution of Naval Architects.
