1914 Davie and Horne Limited, Beith Road, Johnstone, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £12,000, to take over the business of Davie & Horne, engineers and manufacturers of the "Davie" patent specialities carried on by James Davie & George Stevenson Horne, engineers in Johnstone.[2]

1962 By now the company was in voluntary liquidation.[3]
