1951 Denis Ferranti set up Denis Ferranti Meters to make electricity meters in competition with Ferranti Ltd.

1959 Denis Ferranti Group's R&D Division was at Anglesey, North Wales[1]

1967 Nigel Z. de Ferranti (b.1940) was managing director of Denis Ferranti Meters,[2].

1969 Subsidiary Ferranti Porcelains closed down.[3]

1969 N. Z. de Ferranti was Chairman of the EGM held at Oldham which agreed that the company should be voluntarily liquidated[4].

c.1970 Mark Ziani de Ferranti, of the third generation of the family, became Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

1970 Denis Ferranti Ltd was put in creditors voluntary liquidation[5]

1976 Denis Ferranti Ltd was in liquidation[6]

1992 Denis Ferranti Ltd announced 250 redundancies, about half of the workforce, because of the end of long term contracts in telecommunications and defence[7].

2013 James Ziani de Ferranti, the fourth generation, was General Manager.
