  • 1936 The company was founded when Denis Wright opened a factory in Islington, London, selling amateur photographic albums.
  • Post-WWII. The professional wedding market really took off after 1945, and D. Wright soon became known for the outstanding style and quality of its products.

  • 1967 John Wright took over the company, directing and managing a business enjoying increasing prosperity and success.
  • From 1980, all production was relocated from London to a greenfield site in Devon, and the company diversified into the production of strut mounts for the schools photography market.
  • Matthew Wright and Elaine Robinson successfully diversified the company's activities. Digital imaging technology has transformed the market.
  • D. Wright is known as the oldest supplier of photographic slip-in folders, photomounts, strut mounts and wedding and portraiture albums.
