1913 G. Cecil Kny demonstrated the DFW biplane at Brooklands, to support his claim that it could carry out a regular daily service as was done on the Continent[2]
1914 Cecil Kny was managing director of the British D.F.W. firm; this was associated with the German aircraft manufacturer which had recently claimed the world altitude record[3]
