Devanha Brewery

From Graces Guide

Wellington Road, Aberdeen

1910 The Devanha Brewery Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company. It was a successor to William Black and Co (founded 1803), who had run both a distillery and brewery but who had put the former up for sale in 1909.

1930 The company was taken over by Thomas Usher and Son Limited, of Edinburgh. Although it ceased to brew the company remained in existence and in 1974 the name was changed to Norseman Lager Company Limited. The company was finally dissolved in 1984.
