1849 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Thomas Corbitt Dixon and Frederick Mason, as Iron and Brassfounders and General Smiths, under the firm of Dixon and Company, carrying on business in the parish of Saint Peter, in Ipswich, in the county of Suffolk, was this day dissolved by mutual consent...'[1]

1849 Thomas Corbitt Dixon forced to retire due to 'severe indisposition' and it will be carried on by Frederick Mason and Thomas Irwin Dixon the son of TCD.[2]
