1865 John Henry Cookson became a partner

1872 Mr Dunn died; John Cookson bought out Mr Hudson.

1878 The name of the firm was changed to J. H. Cookson and Co.

1890 John Cookson's son joined the business.

1897 The company was registered as J. H. Cookson & Son Ltd.
