1882 Born at Canterbury, Kent, the son of John Lawrence, a Cab Proprietor.

1901 Boarding at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.[1]

1910 Birth of son John Ernest Mathias Lawrence

1911 Living at 30 Rifle Crescent, Aston Manor: Ernest George Lawrence (age 28 born Canterbury, Kent), Cost Clerk - Engineering (Manufacturing of sheep shearing machines). With his wife Alice Mary Lawrence (age 27 born Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire) and their son John Ernest Mathias Lawrence (age 11 months born Aston).[2]

1939 Living at 49 Havelock road, Birmingham, Engineer Director. With Alice W. Lawrence (born 1883).[3]

1945 Died. '...of Havelock Road, Handsworth. He came to Birmingham from Pembrokeshire as a young engineer and eventually became a director of five companies...'[4]
