1939 A.M.I.Mech.E. Principal of the Firm of Stanley, Popplewell and Francis, 88/90 Chancery Lane, W.0.2. Age: 44. Career: King Edward VI School, Stourbridge; Birmingham Tech. School; articled to J. Piercy & Co., Ltd., Consulting and General Engrs., of Birmingham; Commissioned Officer in the Worcestershire Regiment during the Great War; on the staff of the Mech. Warfare Dept., Min. of Mun.; later with Kennedy's (Carntyne) Ltd., Glasgow, and Wm. Simons & Co., Ltd., Renfrew.; became partner in present firm in 1927.
