1885 The first transparent photographic "film" was introduced by US Eastman company. The company opened a wholesale office in London, England: Eastman Photo Materials Co

1888 The name Kodak was born and the Kodak camera was put on the market. This was the birth of snapshot photography. An office in London's Oxford Street was opened by the time the company's trademarks were registered for photographic apparatus.
