1897 "Since they commenced operation four years ago in Canada and the United States, they have made several installations not only in America, but also tn England. In Canada they have put down plant at Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Belleville, Peterborough, Lindsay, Brantford, and St. Catherine, and in the United States at Kensington, Pa., and Wailkesbarre, Pa.
It is 2 1/2 years since they got their first order in England for a plant of a daily capacity of 1 1/4 million cubic feet for Blackburn. Their next plant was for Colchester, for a daily output, of 300,000 cubic feet. The Birmingham Corporation gave them their next order for plant at the Windsor-street Gas Works, where Mr. Charles Hunt is engineer, and the other at the Saltley Works, where Mr. Henry Hack is engineer. These two plants at Birmingham have a daily maximum capacity of five million cubic feel. The corporation have since placed an order for doubling this plant, so that soon Birmingham will be able to make daily 10 million cubic feet of carburetted water gas. The company have also constructed a 1,225,000 cubic feet plant at Birkenhead, and a 125,000 cubic feet installation a Swindon."[1]
