1891 Joseph Hilbert De Mattos was appointed principal[1]

1901 Converted to limited company

1903 of Steam Plough Works, East Fordington, steam plough and traction engine proprietors[2]

By 1904 the firm owned c.150 road locomotives of various types, about 50 sets of steam plough tackle. Workshops at Dorchester, Butleigh and Weymouth. Also carries on business as mechanical engineers, including to the Admiralty and War Office
