EDGAR DE LAUTOUR, born on the 18th November, 1882, at Campbeltown, Argyllshire, died at Naini Tal, India, on the 11th May, 1911.

After being educated at the Central Technical College he was trained under Mr. A. Summerscale.

Subsequently he entered the service of the Bengal and North Western Railway Company, and was in charge of extension work at the time of his death.

Mr. de Lautour was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 7th December, 1909.
