EDGAR HARRY LLOYD was born at Wednesbury in 1884, but throughout his professional life was associated with the Cardiff works of Messrs. Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds. He was first apprenticed at these works in 1899, afterwards becoming Head Draughtsman and Assistant Engineer in the Steel Works Section.

For a period of ten years until 1913 he attended evening classes at the University College, Cardiff, where he received his technical training.

Mr. Lloyd, who died on the 30th September 1926; became an Associate Member of this Institution in 1923.
