ca.1832 Born in Bawtry, Yorkshire, the son of James Keir Hett and his wife Maria Townsend

1871 Living in Leighton, Cheshire with his wife and four children and his brother; a South American Merchant.[1]

1881 Living in Leighton, Cheshire with his wife and five children; a Retired Merchant.[2]

1901 Died. 'Mr. Edmund Sykes Hett, of Cavendish House, Clapham, and formerly of Rio de Janeiro, director of the Bilbao River and Cantabrian Railway Company (Limited), who died on tho 15th March last, left personal estate of the net value £106,025 11s. 8d., and the gross value of the whole of his estate £132,290 4s. l0d.'[3]
