The Hon. EDWARD CHRISTIAN KITSON, M.A., the third son of the late Lord Airedale (former Member), was born on 30th September 1873, and was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge.

He was apprenticed at the Airedale Foundry, Leeds; and on its formation into a limited company in 1900, was made a Director.

Since 1912 until his death on the 15th January 1922, he was Chairman of the Company.

He became a Member of this Institution in 1921.
