1851 A visitor at North St. Villa, Wandsworth (age 41 born Cockfield): Edward Dixon a Civil Engineer. With his wife Sarah (age 34 born Hull) and their son Edward Dixon (age 1 born Leamington, Warwickshire). [1]

1877 Married at Redhill to Sophia Jane Campion

1891 Living at Rameses Avenue, Cottingham: Edward Dixon (age 41 born Leamington), Director of Paint Co Ltd. With his wife Sophia and two daughters.[2]

1911 Living at 1 Royal Crescent, Bridlington, Yorks: Edward Dixon (age 60 born Leamington), Managing Director - Paint Manufacturers. In the house of his married daughter Aline Reichardt and her children.[3]

1918 Died. 'The death took place on Saturday, January 5th, at Baden House, Prince's-avenue, of Mr Edward Dixon, for many years chairman and managing director of Blundell, Spence and Co., Ltd., paint and colour manufacturers, Hull. He was greatly esteemed. He occupied prominent position in the commercial life of Hull a few years ago, and was an active member of the Hull Chamber of Commerce and Shipping. As a staunch Conservative he took an interest in Parliamentary elections, and was recognised as an effective platform speaker. He was identified with numerous social movements.'[4]
