1914 Obituary [1]

EDWARD HODGSON, born on the 10th July, 1854, died at Sunderland on the 5th May, 1913.

After serving a pupilage under Messrs. Joseph Potts and Son, of that city, he entered the service of the Sunderland Corporation as an assistant in the Engineer’s department. At the time of his death he was acting as Deputy Borough Engineer, under Mr. J. W. Moncur, M.Inst.C.E., and had been associated with a great variety of municipal work carried out by the Corporation.

Mr. Hodgson was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 2nd April, 1901.
