1883 Born in Shropshire

1912 10th September. Died at Oxford in his Bristol monoplane (80 hp Gnome engine) when the machine broke up in the air due to the accidental opening of a quick-release fastener when gliding. His passenger Claude Albemarle Bettington also died.
