1840 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership lately subsisting between us, William Sharpe Matthews and Edwin Bostock, as Shoe-Manufacturers, at Stone, in the county of Stafford, was dissolved, by mutual consent, this day. The said Edwin Bostock will pay and receive all debts due to or from the late firm...'[1]

The Stafford factory specialized in the production of women's shoes.

1919 Frederick Bostock Ltd amalgamated with Edwin Bostock and Co of Stafford and Stone, to become Lotus Ltd.
