1915 Entered the aircraft industry, Aircraft Manufacturing Co, in the stores, progress and finally the sub-contracts departments; becoming manager of the latter.
1920 Became Manager of Vanden Plas Engineering 1917, Ltd.
Engaged in coachbuilding until 1923 when he joined the Board as Managing Director.
1923 Formed Vanden Plas (England)
1939 Living at 44 Old Church Lane, Harrow, Middx: Edwin Fox, Managing Director of Wood and Engineering Works. Widowed.[2]
1946 when Austin Motor Co., acquired control he became Director of the new company, Vanden Plas (England) 1923 Ltd., N.W.9.
1949 Fellow and President, Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers
Founder Member of Institute of Body Engineers.
