"We record with regret the death of Mr. Edwin Seymour-Semper, former managing director of Hancock and Co. (Engineers) Ltd., Croydon, Surrey, who died at his home in Cape Town, South Africa, on August 26, 1965. Mr. Seymour-Semper was past president of the Institute of Welding, chairman of Sub-Commission lB of the International Institute of Welding, past president of the British Acetylene Association, a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a very active member of both the Society of Engineers and the Engineering Industry Association. He also served on many technical committees in the welding industry."
