From Graces Guide

Formed in 1925 after being suggested at the council of the Faraday Society.

A small provisional committee was formed to take steps to round an Electroplaters' and Depositors' Technical Society, and at a well-attended meeting held at the Northampton Polytechnic Institute on November 11th, 1925, this Society was formally integrated. [1]

All actually engaged in some responsible position in electro-deposition or in the scientific study of the subject are elidgible for membership. The first general meeting was held on December 9th, when Mr. S. Field. presented a paper entitled "Eletro-Deposition : A Survey of Modern Progress." The honorary secretary was Mr. William E.
