1903 "The Empire Roller Bearings Company, having obtained very satisfactory results with the first ten cars on the Croydon Tramways fitted with roller bearings, has obtained the contract for fitting the additional cars which have been ordered with similar roller bearings."[3]
1920 April. Issued catalogue on roller bearings.[4]
By 1922 was associated with Ransomes and Rapier.
Products: roller bearings for line shafting, works trucks, railway and tramway axle boxes, wagons and trollies and wheel bosses.
