1899 The company was registered, and took over from Elmores Trust, the assets of Elmores Patent Copper Depositing Co, Elmores Wire Manufacturing Co, Elmores Foreign and Colonial Patent Copper Depositing Co and Elmores American and Canadian Patent Copper Depositing Co, also owning all the patents, processes and improvements of the Societe Francaise d'Electro Metallurgie, working the Elmore process in France, and of the late Monsieur Secretan for all countries France and Russia. 1902 The 3rd Ordinary General meeting was asked to approve a change of the name of the company to Leeds Copper Works[2]
