1878 Born in Altrincham, Cheshire, son of John Hall, iron merchant, and his wife, Kate. John was son of Elizabeth Hall, iron merchant.[1]

1907 Married Emma Letitia Clegg in Dunham Massey[2]

1911 Ernest Byfield Hall 33, iron merchant, lived in Altrincham with Emma Letitia Hall 35, Ernest Nicholas Hall 2, William Byfield Hall 6 months[3]

1924 With John Hall (presumably his brother John) incorporated Hall and Pickles as a private company.

We have also learned with regret of the death, on February 11th, of Mr. Ernest B. Hall, chairman of the British Reinforced Concrete Engineering Company, Ltd., Stafford.
