1885 The Eastern Telegraph Co promoted the Europe and Azores Telegraph Company, for which Telcon laid a cable from Porthcurno, Cornwall to Fayal, Azores in 1906.

1893 The company was registered on 19th August, with capital of £200,000.[1]
