1992 'Excel Industries are based in Ebbw Vale in Wales and are the only British Manufacturer of cellulose fibre in the U.K.....used in the acoustic, cavity wall and loft insulation markets.'[1]

1994 'Youngsters are being asked to hand in the old books which will then be turned into insulation material by Ebbw Vale-based Excel Industries Excel uses the directories to make Warmcel insulation. The firm says the books would otherwise have to be disposed'[2]
