Exeter Railway
1883 The company was incorporated as the Exeter, Teign Valley and Chagford Railway.
This line was 8.75 mile in length.
1898 The name was changed when the Chagford extension was abandoned in 1898.
1903 The line opened linking Exeter with Christow on the Teign Valley Railway. [1]
1903 The line, 8 miles in length, was opened for traffic on June 30th and is to be worked by the Great Western Railway company in perpetuity. [2]
1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [3]
