Exmouth Junction
Situated on the London and South Western Railway and where the Exeter and Exmouth Railway diverged
1887 November 03rd. First railway shed opened and became one of the largest on the L&SWR network.
1904 A serious fire broke out at, Exmouth Junction yesterday morning, and resulted in the gutting of the washing factory.[1]
1926 The new locomotive shed at Exmouth Junction is gradually nearing completion, and seven roads are actually in use for the stabling of engines. The blacksmiths' and coppersmiths' are now in full use. The new 50-ton electric overhead crane in the lifting shop has passed the Necessary tests.[2]
