1931 Obituary[1]

The Late Mr. F. G. Tyte.— We regret to note the death on January 15 last, after a serious illness, of Mr. F. G. Tyte, who retired about five years ago from the position of engineer-in-charge of the Foundling Hospital, Guilford-Street, Russell-square, London, W.C.l. Mr. Tyte, who was 74 years of age, had occupied this position for upwards of 30 years and up till the time of the removal of the Foundling Hospital to the country. He was a former member of the Association of Engineers-in-Charge, the name of which has since been changed to The Institution of Engineers-in-Charge, and served for some years on the Council of this body.
