1882 November 12th. Born the son of Herbert Parkin, a teacher of Violin (Professor of Music).

1910 Married at Sheffield to Charlotte Helen Shardlow, youngest daughter of Ambrose Shardlow, founder of Ambrose Shardlow & Co

1911 Residing at 49 Fossdale Road, Sheffield: Frederick Michael Parkin (age 28 born Sheffield), Steel Works Manager. With his wife Charlotte Helen Parkin and infant son Michael Shardlow Parkin.[1]

1939 Residing at 22 Dole Road, Sheffield, Managing Director Ltd Co. With Charlotte H. Parkin (born 1882) and Michael S. Parkin (born 1911).[2]

1953 Died. 'Mr. Frederick Michael Parkin, who died on November 2 at his home in Dore Road, Sheffield, at the age of 71, was chairman and managing director of F. M. Parkin (Sheffield), Ltd., steelmakers, a business that he founded.'[3]
