Mr Florence O'Driscoll ( - 1939)

1939 'EX-M.P. FOR SOUTH MONAGHAN. Mr. Florence O'Driscoll, who was an Irish Nationalist M.P. for South Monaghan from 1892 to 1895, died in London yesterday. Born in Ireland and educated at Brisbane (Queensland), he was a Civil engineer, who for 13 years was engaged on survey and construction works for the Queensland Railway Department, and later spent nearly 20 years in South America mining and oil-boring. He was an associate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. During the Great War he was responsible for transforming the Crystal Palace into a training depot for the Royal Naval Division. He wrote considerably and was an enthusiastic sportsman. His wife survives him with one son and two daughters.'[1]
