Goad's Insurance Plans for 1928 show F. S. Cooper's 'Dolphin Foundry' on the south side of Chapel Street, close to its junction with Long Street, and immediately east of Fair Street. The site area was approx. 100 ft by 100 ft. The 1915 O.S. map also shows a foundry here, while the Phoenix Works, once occupied by Parr, Curtis and Madeley was a short distance to the west.
