1988 Filtronic Comtek founded by Professor David Rhodes[2]

1992 Stock market flotation of Filtronic Comtek

1998 Acquired LK-Products from Nokia, a maker of filters and antennae for mobile phones, and Litton Solid State; share issue to raise the money to pay for these and other acquisitions[3]

1999 Acquired a semiconductor factory at Newton Aycliffe from Fujitsu to make gallium arsenide semi-conductor devices[4]

2001 After a period of losses, arrangements were made for the Newton Aycliffe plant to manufacture components for other companies[5]
