1901 Change of ownership. 'THE Business of THE FINNIESTON ENGINEERING COMPANY, Glasgow, carried on by the Subscribers George Smith & Sons, has been sold, as at 31st March 1901, to the Subscriber Archibald Mackellar, who will carry on the Business for his own behoof under the same name...[1]

1911 Change of ownership. '...the Trustees of the late Archibald M'Kellar, who was the sole Partner of the FINNIESTON ENGINEERING COMPANY, one hundred and sixty-nine Finnieston Street, Glasgow, hereby intimate that as at 28th February 1911 they sold and transferred the Business of the said the Finnieston Engineering Company to the Subscriber David Alexander Brown, fifteen Eyre Crescent, Edinburgh...'[2]

1912 The Finnieston Engineering Company Limited of 169 Finnieston Street, Glasgow, was registered as a private company, with capital of £10,000, to carry on the business of engineers previously carried on by the firm of the same name.[3]

1922 Managing Director: David A. Brown. Products.— Sheet metal work, sheet metal pressers and stampers.

1971 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[4]
