1903 Messrs. Fletcher Bros. exhibited at the Stanley Show their Starteasy portable motor-bicycle stand. The special feature of this stand is that the motor can be started up with the machine stationary, and then by releasing a catch from the handlebar the driving wheel is brought in contact with the road and the machine starts away. Any pattern of luggage carrier can be used with this stand.

The firm also introduced a patent speed controller and indicator which automatically keeps the speed at any desired figure.
