1924 The FOURGEES COTTON MILLS, have termed a new type fabric "Gladette." It is stated to be superior to winceyette and flannelette because it is almost untearable and does not flare up when touched by an open light, and, dyed in fast colours, for making into pyjamas, nighties, dressing gowns, etc. A white and coloured fabric suitable for lingerie and blouse wear is termed "Gambrette." It is made from selected Egyptian cotton, and is notable for the beauty of the dyed shades, the soft finish secured, and faultless weav1ng.

Still another fabric with a registered name made by this firm is "Sunoposer," a fabric which it is claimed cannot fade. It is made into casement curtains, furniture coverings, dresses, and overalls."[1]
