Educated at Kendal Commercial College and private tuition;
Apprenticed. motor and general engineering.
1938 Chr. and Man. Dir. Fahys, Ltd., and Chr. of Morecambe Electrical Equipment Co., Commenced business in 1904; operated motor coaches in 1907; pioneered long-distance motor coach tours; public 'bus services in 1913. Int.: golf, municipal work; ex-mayor of borough: chr. of Executive Morecambe Municipal Festival.
