Francis George Coales (1889- )

1922 Assoc.M.Inst.C.E., Civil Engineer, Public Works Department, Batu Gajah, Perak, Federated Malay States, and Lathbury, Newport Pagnell, Bucks; b. 1889. Ed. Elston School, Bedford, and served articles with Everard, Son and Pick, Leicester. On completion of articles in 1910, served for two years as Resident Engineer on the Leicester Section of the Derwent Valley Water Supply. Was then engaged on survey work for Everard, Son and Pick. Was engaged as Resident Engineer on Sewage Works under the Kettering Rural District Council. In 1914, took up the appointment of Chief Draughtsman, State Engineer's Office, Perak. At present holding appointment of Assistant Engineer in Public Works Department, Federated Malay States. War Services.—In the Malay States Volunteer Rifles.
