1901-4 At Central Technical College, South Kensington, gaining civil and mechanical engineering diploma
1904-9 On the staff of The Engineer
1908 Associate of I Mech E
1908 Patent with George Rupert Swetnam on "Improvements in Carburettors for Internal Combustion Engines."
1909 Joined Garrett's, Leiston, as head of the testing department
1910 Associate of Inst Civil Engineers
1911 Civil Engineer, Manufacturer Of Steam Engines, boarding in Leiston, Suffolk[2]
1914-onwards Designed power stations for the Government for Ratfyn, Didcot and Harlescott and elsewhere.
1921 Appointed Chief engineer to Richard Garrett and Sons of Leiston
1923 Transferred from Associate to Membership of I Mech E; also was Associate of Inst Civil Engineers, member of Iron and Steel Institute, Associate of City and Guilds, member of British Astronomical Association.
c.1928 Formed a company with the son of a family friend, Phil Conrad Vincent.
1929 Married Grace Peskett in London[3]
1937 Patent on "Improvements in variable velocity ratio transmission gear" with Philip Conrad Vincent and others
1939 Chartered engineer, managing director, lived in Stevenage[4]
